Thanks for doing this! The only error I saw was that you listed the MGS4 stuff as “December 25” in NA when in actuality it came out on the 23rd. Not a big deal at all considering that it’s already out.

So I got the God of War pack from GameStop but I never got the God of War Level.  I got all the costumes. Am I missing something?

Well spotted. We had based that on the previously announced information but after checking it seems the level is not included.

That kind of stinks.  Hopefully they will put out a Level pack in the future, that would be a great IP for a few levels to be built on. If it happens it probably won’t be till it is closer to God of War III coming out.

Are costumes from different stores cross-region compatible? If I have a US copy of LBP can I download costumes off the Asia store and have them in my game?

There is at present no way to send or share saved costumes.

Nope. You can download the content, but you’ll need a game disc from that region in order to be able to play the content downloaded from that region.

The Heavenly Sword Nariko Costume was available by pre-ordering from Best Buy in the USA and Future Shop in Canada.

The Prize Crown was unavailable in Canada, as the contest was open to USA residents only.

A few more fixes:
- The Nariko costume was not available outside of Europe or North America.
- The separate Kratos costume was only available in Europe via preorder, however it’s going on sale in Asia on the date listed.
- The God of War pack was only available to North America through GameStop preorders.
- The Ape Escape costume was available via preorder through Amazon.jp, and it should also be labeled as “Free” to match the other Preorder costume entries.
- The Spacesuit, Halloween Mask (Pumpkin Head, as you put it), Turkey Head, and Festive Goodies pack are no longer available in the US or Japan, but are all still available in Europe and Asia.
- The Santa Hat/Beard and Santa Suit/Boots DLC are still available in Europe, but are no longer available in other regions.
- The Street Fighter II costumes do not seem to have been released in Japan.
- The LocoRoco pack costs ¥300 in Japan.

Also, we keep in mind that some items are liable to come out at later dates elsewhere.

Also, the Kratos costume is not marked as having a price on the Asia site. It’s curious - they changed the date on the pipo and kratos costumes the other day, and their descriptions still seem to imply that they’re not available through purchase, but by other means. ‘Congratulations!’ etc.
We’ll see..

Have you read the notes at the bottom of this article?

In your notes you say that the LittleBigPlanet is region-specific. Thus the game will only work with downloaded content from a PSN Store of the same region as the disc. I’m based in the UK so my primary account is the UK PSN Store, though I have set up a North American and Japan account as well and all the downloaded content from my UK store works perfectly in my other accounts. The only thing stopping me from downloading content from the NA and JP store to see if it works on my UK account is that my card details don’t match the address i had to put in. What do you make of this? Thanks for putting this together! x

If you want to test this out, download a free costume from a region other than the one your disc is from, one which you have not already installed - it won’t work

There’s an error on the description of the Ape Escape costume.

“Limited time availability and available through special promotions only (Japan was through preorders from Amazon.jp)”

While this actually might be true, all first pressings of the game contained codes for the costume. However, I never even had to use mine, because it was available to all Japanese users for the first few weeks of the games release. Think of it as more similar to the launch costume than to any special sort of giveaway. Whatever the plans actually were, they decided it better to just give it to everyone for a bit.

well i feel sad because my lbp couldnt be reserved so i never knew that the kratos was a code i thought it was downloadable and as i see its not and the gamestop i went to wasnt taking any more reserves 4 it so i guess i lost out unless anybody can help :(

The term ‘commercial release’ means when it ‘went on sale’. I.e: when it was given a price and made available openly to everyone.

I got the preorder code for the God of War level pack, but what I am hoping and wondering is since that was preorder and now in the PSN Store, does that mean the Nariko costume could be coming soon?  If you check out ebay for the code they ranged anywhere form $20 and up.

Random question - does anyone know why the NA release was unable to download the t-shirt? That’s the launch item I was really looking forward to ;_; but my dreams were borked.

That is because there was a problem with the servers at the time so they pushed the 1st week DLC back a week or two i time for thanksgiving! Also, why not FF13?

You can’t get the week 1 costume. Even though you were there the first week it was only avalible for the first week of LBP’s release on the PS Store. unlucky, your not missing out on much anyway i hardly use it. And a question to any one reading, I’ve heard a rumour that the heavenly sword pack is going to be released for europe and US is that true or a load of rubbish?

This is my 1st comment and according to the Little Big Workshop news section, they are releasing the ape escape monkey again (If it was relased before.) to the psn, the ape escape mokey is said to come out on February 12th. I am assuming it will be 2 US dollars.
(I am not sure if you have found that out but it’s useful anyways.)

Awesome costumes, i just bought the game. Too bad some of those arent available in the PSN Store anymore, i wish i can collect them all. Hopefully they can be re-released eventually for those who didnt get the game sooner. Especially the Festive Goodies Pack, cuz i like the extra stuff with it.

Oh, and i hope they bring out costumes in LBP with other game themes. Like Assassins Creed :D

Some Anime costumes and level packs and all that would be EXCELLENT. D Gray Man PLEASE lol
