The entire world has started knitting, Little BIG Planetoid can today exclusively confirm. With Christmas just a few weeks away, the demand for Sackboys has sky-rocketed.
With so few official Sackboy plushies available, the ones that are around are being fiercely bid for on popular auction site eBay, with some prices reaching in excess of £30.
Keen to exploit the demand, Little Big Planet fans worldwide are now rapidly exchanging knitting patterns, bags of wool and nice cups of tea with Jammie Dodgers, in order to make their own Sackboys and reap the rewards.
However, as concern rises over the quality of these Sackboys, we investigate some of the home-made Sack people popping up online, to buy:
The Planetoid advises that you approach these unofficial Sackboys with caution, a deep belly laugh or just lots of hugs.
You may wish to wait for Sony to get their sack-behinds in gear and exploit this demand on a more professional level. Or alternatively, residents in the UK can go out and buy Issue 49 of Simply Knitting, the UK’s leading knitting magazine, priced at £4.49 - for Sackboy knitting patterns and intructions.

Have been working all day every day for the last week or so getting them done ready for christmas (i estimate they take 3-4 hours each). There’ll be 5 or so up on ebay and I’ve sold about 13 through a ps3 forum I’m on.
I’m making more in the new year as well as custom ones (like Solid Snake, Sephiroth, Kratos, Spiderman etc etc) which will go directly to ebay.
Awesome work you two, it’s impressive how you managed to keep the defined shapes, especially of the head… something which some patterns have dramatically failed to achieve!
I will buy one, It has to be Official of course :/ to bad I don’t see anything of that kind here on Mexico.
