Many happy gadders have been having not-so-happy holiday problems with their shiny new MGS Premium Level Packs, downloaded from the PlayStation Store.
Many reports have come in from players whose games are not saving, with progress being lost when the game is quit.
Community member Greatest_Caution, over on the LittleBigWorkshop Forums, has pointed out a possible fix for this problem. By simply deleting some of your extra save data, such as costumes or community content, your game will be able to save.
This would appear to be due to the fact that there is a limit on the size of game save data, which includes costumes, custom stickers, community objects and levels.
So, if you have this problem, remove some of your more superfluous data and with any luck, your progress on the MGS levels will then begin saving again as normal.
We can’t 100% verify this fix, as - well, we don’t have the problem. Let us know in the comments if it works for you.

Just delete all your comunity objects (or at least the trash ones) They occupy to much space…. MM need to raise the data that can be saved.

MM definitely need to raise the cap for community content.
I have a bit of a different problem only my little voice over guy got restarted. every time i make a new level or do do something i have not done in a wile it will go off. Any info on this?
This fix doesn’t work.
Think about this; what if your file is corrupted to the point where you delete all your costumes, community items etc and you reload your game, only to find them back again. (It doesn’t save that you deleted them).
Also, does this mean that MM has disabled all community prizes? Should people just stop giving out items in their levels? I guess it’s a stop-gap solution for some, who need to ace the levels but ultimately it doesn’t work for some.
Agito, I think your game is just completely screwed up; i’ve never heard of that. It seems to be reverting to a save that is at the beginning of the game.

i have the issue of unable to save due to size of file try deleting costumes etc but have done all that and it still gives me an error everytime i try to save now regardless of the amount of stickers, decorations, costumes or anything i own…help
Yes.. It doesn’t work long time.. If I get even 1-5 pictures then it give me that error message! Fix this please! Why game profile size must be limited!? My profile is about 4700-5000kb :O! Remove that limit, please!
I believe I’m right in saying that the 5MB limit is a SONY thing, not a LBP thing… I did have the problem last week, had no MGS thing, but I had hardly any community items. Deleted everything time and again but for some reason now I have tons of stuff and it’s fine!
I can tell you that I was simply over the moon, after spending 12 hours making a nice new MGS themed level. For it to just dissapear without warning on exiting LBP. Couldn’t care less about level progress, but when you lose 12 hours work :( I have 4 of the 20 plus spaces on the My Moon filled and I’m over profile size? If Community items are gonna fill up all the space then give me the option to turn them off! Grr, MM’s update has broken my £30 game, nice one cheers.
I haven’t bought the MGS exapnsion, yet mine LBP still won’t save. Sometimes it saves the storu mode up to a certain amount. For example, I aced three levels yesterday but it only saved 1 of them. And everything I try to quit LBP by holding down the PS button and select “Quit Game”, it takes a while to turn off and then bleeps and resets :S…Help?
I have the same problem. I started my own level then saved and turned it off. Next day i turned it on to find it had only saved part of it. I thought i might have switched off my ps3 whilst it was saving or something like that. anyway, after re-doing my level and basically finishing it, i saved it, using save as, just in case. I then exited, played some levels etc, created new costume and exited. Today i went on 2 find it gone again!! so p***** so ima try this solution if it dont work then ill b dissapointed, cos its such a good game, pitty if its ruined by this.
I cannot save at all. I get the message “cannot save profile….delete my….etc.”, but I dont even have any community stuff any more only 2 costumes. I deleted everything I could. So now I can either delete my profile and lose everything or get the message every 30 secs that I can’t save and not make any progress. I guess the game is for the bin. I’d like my money back!!!
I have the same error on all 3 user profiles. Problem started by visiting a user level that gavce out way too much stuff. Have deleted all custom and community things and still get the error although not all the time, only when community levels try to take photos. This is VERY annoying can the guys at LBP explain a way round this like how to manually delete the data files on the OS?
Hey just 2 inform u. I posted info earlier, cos i was p***** off that i couldn’t save (read above). Since then i deleted all community stuff, including all stickers for costumes, goodies and prizes etc. I then found that the game worked fine, and that i could save levels i created without returning 2 find them gone!! So im happy its fixed, but this raises questions!!
Now that my new lvl is done, shall i include prizes for completing etc? or now that it just clogs up memory and causes users problems, will prizes b more of a pain than something u aim 2 get??
2 b honest i find myself deleting anything im awarded every so often just in case it happens again!

Yes I have felt the burn of loosing a created a level numerous times…I would throw out the game in frustration but yet i find myself remaking the level! haha
I did not notice this happening until I downloaded this newest patch. But why would my created levels be affected by the amount of community objects I have. They dont seemed linked…and heck I dont mind deleting that stuff BUT jsut let me save my level B!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH, i kept making a level 5 TIMES but never figured out why it didnt save, so thats a lesson NEVER to go in levels like 298 free gifts.
we have deleted all community stickers and pics and still get the profile overload message every thirty seconds. I have even deleted all of the costumes! My son has spent hours creating levels, only to turn the system off and then find it gone when he goes back on. We have no finished levels on his moon. So what is the deal and are they going to fix this issue? It sucks playing a game with a pop up every thirty seconds.

ehm it didnt work i dnt get the overload message and everytime i turn it off it gives me back the cosume i was last wearing it takes all my progress that i got before i turned it off away and all the items that i got before i turned it off and btw i dont have the mgs pack does this affect it in any way??please help:(
