One of the new tools included in the MGS Pack is currently not available in Create mode. The tool can be seen throughout the MGS levels, included in the pack, and features a mini globe icon:
No official news is available on this tool, but it is assumed that it controls day / night settings dynamically in levels. So you could start playing a level in day and finish playing the same level at night (in the game that is, because in ‘real life’ that happens all the time). A great tool, if that’s the case.
We’re guessing that it’s not currently available in Create mode as perhaps it needs further work before being made available. Either way, we’ll report official news when we hear it.

I noticed those things. If that is what they do (I’m guessing a globe for global settings), I hope they release it in a future patch!

Yeah… the best place to see the day/night transition is in the VR training level (Act 2) You see them on the Codec.
When you move near the codec, it gets bright, when you move away, it gets dark. Plus many other examples…

I assume that MM figured that it should be a tool available to everyone, so they are going to release it in a patch or free dlc.
i LOVE the MGS pack. Thing is, this is this bug where it isn’t saving the game… my MGS level i was making is gone…

you didn’t miss anything. That is just a prediction for the killzone 2 pack (which would be flat out awesome!) but we’ll have to wait to find out. DANG IT!!!!
Also, i was playing LBP recently, and i swear the level started at night, but halfway through the level it became day again! the object does control night and day!
The thing Ausohoj saw was a day night machine. check out the little big book of levels, its something like day to sunset to night to sunrise to day
