Despite Media Molecule creating what is perhaps the most awesome DLC content ever, for any game; Sony have managed to disappoint the community by not releasing it on the day on which they announced they would.
European Community Team Leader ‘Muster Buster’ has told European Community Forum members that the content will be released “Not today, cant confirm tomorrow.”.
Naturally, this is a huge disappointment for the LBP community. Many players have been checking the PlayStation Store all day, waiting for the content to arrive. Again, communication is an issue for players here, as it is unlikely that the decision not to launch today was made late in the day. A simple announcement would have been fine.
With Muster Buster saying he can’t even confirm it’s release for tomorrow, we wouldn’t be surprised if the release date slipped to Thursday, the day when the PlayStation Store gets its regular update.
Will it still launch in U.S and Asia? We’ll update with more news when we hear it.

The U.S has now received the MGS DLC on the U.S PlayStation Store, Dec 23rd 6pm E.S.T. We can’t confirm Japan or other regions, but Europe is still MGS-packless, for no significant reason.
SCEE did inform press that the pack would be released in Europe on Dec 23rd, it was confirmed when they announced their pricing for the packs across Europe.
Interestingly, SCEE sent out a press release last week saying that there will be a Wipeout HD demo on the European PlayStation Store on Christmas Eve. If they do update the store tomorrow, then there is a good chance of the MGS packs arriving at the same time.
1am update perhaps? Maybe that’s hopeful, but keep your eyes peeled in Europe.

The MGS DLC is now available on the European Store, 12 hours later than expected.
Well, I am certainly glad I was working all day until now, because otherwise I would have been checking the PS Store all day like a massive idiot!!!

I forgot to make an important point. I have read a fair amount of official news about this MGS DLC, and regarding the release date of the 23rd (today) only the US was ever mentioned. And furthermore, with regard to the content being released at any date, only the US and Japan were slated as being on the horizon. Worryingly, Europe (and in our case the UK & Ireland) was NEVER EVEN MENTIONED!!!! Am I just being pessimistic, or could the Americans be happily enjoying their littlebigMGSplanet (whenever they actually make it available) without us?!?!?!

Well, Sony did put out information to press last week confirming European pricing and the date as the 23rd.
Europe would not be mentioned on the U.S blog, no - but SCEE did release the information officially.
Time is ticking, whether it will make it on to the U.S store remains to be seen.
Interestingly, I don’t *think* any content has ever been released on the EU Store on a day other than Thursday. Maybe they’re scared it will assplod if they did a Tues update 
Ugh. They better still release this DLC for the US. I will go crazy!
Nooooo, I was looking forward to this DLC all day… At least if it gets released on Thursday, it will be a great Christmas present… Right?
It’s just so ridiculous really. Sony aren’t exactly setting the world alight with their sales figures. Customers getting treated like garbage due to their geographical location isn’t going to them any favours

If I remember correctly the “Festive” Holiday Pack didn’t show up on the store till 7pm CST(US) last week. Best case is it will happen like that again. I know wishful thinking.
Cheers for clearing that up Tony, I just got worried because the press releases I read mentioned the US and Japan specifically so I thought the Euro release could be way off (using the great old excuse of “localisation” or something). But hey, I suppose Thursday isnt too far off, right????!!!! Who am I kidding, I want an Old Snake Sackboy NOW!!!
This is pathetic. WOOHOO SCEE, you guys fail every time, right? I’ve been waiting since I got up (that’s 1pm ^^) to get my hands on this DLC and then, delayed? Who do they think we are? Shame on SCEE…
PS: For the guys in USA complaining: If you get the DLC, don’t complain for the small wait, but if you don’t get it, feel like an European.

Seriously sony - the borked LBP launch fiasco due to the ‘offensive’ song (talk to any muslims much? Notice that none really cared?) hurt your sales figures and you know it; this may do the same for the DLC.
If you knew the dlc wasn’t coming today, why make direct referance to it in the press release? This kinda of rubbish customer service/treatment is why people are not buying your products in Europe.
Well Ausohoj, I’d rather live in Europe and get the DLC a day late, than live in the US and have to get a job in K-Mart when I’m 70 to pay for my wife’s medical bills. But hey my man, get playing LBP tonight in the good ol’ US of A and forget all about it!

Very depressing article that caused hundreds to think that for whatever reason the US release is delayed, too.
NOT the case; the US just got it at 6:00 pm EST time. You access the story levels through the my content part of the in-game store.
For most of you it may be well into your bed time, but since I saw this post I had to comment. It would seem that the delay is for those of you in Europe. As of right now the MGS4 add on for LBP is up on the North American territories. Sorry to thse who cant join in yet. If its not up on your side of the pond…you can aways create an North American PSN

Haha Jim yeah I hate cats and love dogs so Ill leave that to you!!! Im just thinking about it now though and this might be a blessing in disguise for us in Europe. We are kinda used to getting f###ed over so it will make this all the more sweet when its finally released!! Plus, Im enjoying playing the online levels in my new dragon costume (which I wanted for ages) to be that bothered by the delay!
I’m pretty sure SCEE didn’t mention a date for Europe in any press release. A website may have got a spokesperson to blurt out the 23rd, but they probably didn’t know for sure and probably weren’t authorised to give a firm date. Basically, if it isn’t in a press release, don’t be disappointed if it isn’t correct.
Anyway, plenty of festive fun going around to keep people busy until it is released. Plus if it works the way it’s supposed to, we should be able to play user-generated levels with the Paintinator before the pack is released.
yh ive got tht dragon costume too but nearly lost it all today due to my PS3 needing to resotre all data luckily it didnt remove all save files Phew!
sorry about the Dogs thing too i think erm kittens is a better idea and if anyone thinks about paintinatoring (hope i spelled it right)i will personally slap them. HARD.
funny thing is everyone mentions SCEE but all the Europeans probably hate SCEE for not putting it up on the PSN and hate SCEA for giving it to the Yanks two days earlier!

i got that on a level i tried to save it saved then went away for a couple hours then came back it was in the state i had left it from way back in the level!!!
