LBP for £21.62 on Amazon

Nov 29th 2008 - 6:51 PM

Another retailer discounts LittleBigPlanet by just over 50%. Amazon.co.uk are currently listing the game for £21.62, even cheaper than the already insanely low £23 over at DVD.co.uk.

This probably spells trouble -  retailers have possibly overbought stock, not getting the sell-through they’d hoped for. This could be either a total lack of interest in the game outside a certain circle, the economy collapsing all around us, or the vast number of games competing for shelf space right now… whatever it is, you could grab yourself a bargain, so go go go!

An absolute bargain for what is one of the best games of the year.

I think it’s an utter travesty LBP hasn’t sold more copies and most people don’t seem to be that bothered about playing it.  Cute, charming, funny, fiendishly difficult in places and with Stephen Fry supplying the voice work - how can it not be amazing?

Anyone who doesn’t already have it needs to take advantage of these deals right now.

Actually, anyone who doesn’t already have it deserves to be shot! True, this is the retailers fault in hedging their bets on it being a runaway success - but why the hell not? I really don’t understand it. What’s more, I’m sort of pissed off. If I had waited and not bought it like a large portion of PS3 owners (Umm, wtf?!), then I could have paid half price instead of the PS3 premium of nearly £40 (again, WTF!?)...
