The God of War ‘Kratos’ and Ape Escape ‘Pipo Monkey’ costumes have recently popped up on the PlayStation Asia Store, listed as being available from January 8th.
However, we’re not quite sure why these costumes have popped up on the store. Their descriptions seem to imply that they are only available to a select group of people. The Pipo monkey costume is one of the prizes available in the PlayStation Asia Design a Sackboy competition, however the final winners are not announced until February 15th.

Considering that the Kratos costume has been available in the E.U and U.S for some time now (through special promotion codes) - we’re guessing that the Pipo Monkey costume might well become available via a similar means. That is, if Sony wish to keep him ‘special’ in that way. We think Pipo looks very cute:

what about nariko from heavenly i so want to get nariko costume and the pipo but i want the costumes to be relassed in the US

There is no guarantee at all that these costumes will be released elsewhere. The thing is, if they release Pipo or Kratos as purchasable items, then it completely defeats the point of them being unique competition prizes of limited edition promotional items.
Much like the ‘crown’ being given to competition winners - I wouldn’t like to be a competition winner, only to see other people wearing it who have simply just paid for it.
Thats true Tom, but to be fair, buying a magazine or preordering the game online doesn’t strictly qualify as an achievement. I totally agree that the crown, and other items that are actually ‘achieved’ should forever stay exclusive. But as for Kratos, Nariko and Pipo, I think Mm should eventually release these on PS Store instead of letting con artists demand ridiculous prices for the promotion codes on ebay!
Plus, the term ‘exclusive’ when it comes to DLC over the past few years hasn’t always meant ‘exclusive forever!’ Fingers crossed….

i would’ve thought that since the japan and europe design (kabuki and the t.v.)came everywhere i thought that the pipo would have done the same…....i hope it does=)
i have a psn asia account and the pipo monkey and kratos isnt there is there a certain place or thing i need to do to get them into the store plz respond

These costumes will be available in the US and UK on the 29th of January…however the nariko costume will not (and will never be) available for download, i’m so happy i have it :]
