Dear Planeteers
As the headlines suggests, we have some good news and some bad news. First of all, let’s go for the bad: I’m afraid the news is true, we are closing the site, and ceasing updates of news articles, features and LBP tidbits, which we have been bringing to you since the start of November last year.
It will remain as an archive of news and features, and the comments will remain open for a time, and eventually all expire so that the site is a static archive of information, forever floating in space.
Do not fear however! We are not leaving the community, the opposite of that is the truth, for we are broadcasting to you now from the offices of Media Molecule, in our new jobs as Community Managers. You heard us right - after a long period of proving ourselves worthy, we have been hired by the creators of LittleBigPlanet!
Whilst we join you in the mourning for this site, we hope you can join us in celebrating our new positions. Everything you love here, we will bring to you again in some form, although what form that will be is yet to be decided, but with the backing of Mm and Sony, we promise to bring you something bigger, better, badder and sexier that the Planetoid could ever become.
Thanks to everyone for sending us news, reading the site, and taking part in the community, and basically helping to make this site so great - you shall not be forgotten, we’ll see you on the other side….. Or other site perhaps? 
It just remains for us to say, this…

Just in case this is an April Fool’s joke, I’ve prepared an over-the-top LBP Death Machine so that I can take all my anger out on my friend’s unsuspecting Sackboy. Hehehe…
Well done guys! I wondered who Mm were talking about on their latest podcast, you truely deserve it - try to move as many of the Planetoid’s features to the official blog as possible, it would be a shame to waste all your great work.

Please let us know where we can see more in the future. You I always come to you guys first for all of my LBP news and updates. Congrats to you guys, what a great opportunity to work for MM. If I had a desire to move to the UK I would make an attempt to get employed at MM. I work as a graphic designer and would LOVE to be a level designer, but alas I live in the U.S. and would have a hard time moving to the UK. Good luck LittleBigPlanetoid I hope to hear soon where we can see more of the things that we all have grown so fondly to love!!

WHOA. I really didn’t see that coming. (And apparently my predictions were wrong; I guess the Supercomputer didn’t take into account the sponginess of the planet :D) Well, gonna miss this site, but congratulations on getting a job on the inside!
Hmm… maybe I should include the whole prevent-the-Planetoid-from-crashing storyline into a level? Maybe later, I have to go to college in about an hour.
Well, at least it didn’t seem to be any sort of virus (Conficker, X.A.N.A., or otherwise) that crashed the Planetoid…
BTW any news about if the new update really is Cornish Yarg? I haven’t had a chance to go look yet.

The latest update isn’t Cornish Yarg. The update is 1.11, Cornish Yarg has been confirmed at 1.12. This is a just a standard update. I did notice a difference in the search features for community play but only minor changes.
Nothing showed up on the ingame store to hint at any new DLC.
But, since 1.11 is out now, hopefully it will only be a few weeks till Cornish Yarg is released.

It can’t be an April fool’s joke because it was posted at 2.00pm, a good two hours after 12.00pm. If it is, then they are the “Arpil Fools”. Heh…
(I’m aware that in some countries April Fool’s lasts all day but in the UK, and this is where they are based, it lasts until 12.00pm. Then again everybody has their own rules…)

I MADE THE SITE CRASH BY HACKING IT !!!!!!!!
OK, if this is an April fools joke then I will be very mad! If not please tell MM to make a portal level pack, trust me it will work! All you need is for the portal gun to act like the paintinator, the portals to be player colour and then add a few costumes( Chell, turret, GLaDOS) then add in levels based on the chambers( first level would be putting boxes on buttons and passing through pre-made portals, second level would be getting basic portal gun to fire one portal and come out of pre-made exit, third level would be getting advanced portal gun to fire both portals( maybe L1 could fire the other portal?), fourth level would be fighting turrets, fifth level would be journeying through maintenance areas and fighting GLaDOS. I may be wrong with some of these ideas( maybe turret fighting should be left for a survival challenge?), but I honestly think these ideas can be made possible.
This idea has been by Chogok who really needs a crown!
